F.A.Q.

Q: Is Little Bloomers Preschool a Long Day Care?
A: Yes. We are an approved Long Day Care service. This allows families to not only claim any Child Care Rebate or Child Care Benefit entitlements, enjoy the longer operating hours for working parents, at the same time feel confident that their child is attending a Preschool with an educational service that concentrates on each child’s School Preparation.

Q: What are your operating hours?
A: We are open from 7:30am till 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, except Public Holidays.

Q: How many weeks a year are you open?
A: We are open 48 weeks a year. We break for 2 weeks during December & January holidays, and 2 weeks during the July School Holidays. No fee is charged during our holiday breaks.

Q: How old does my child have to be for them to start attending Little Bloomers Preschool?
A: Children must be at the age of 3 before they can attend. Usually during the week of their 3rd birthday, depending on place availability.

Q: What is the maximum age of a child for enrolment?
A: No older than age of five in January of the year starting.

Q: What is the minimum number of days a week I need to enrol my child?
A: Minimum of 2 days per week. We recommend 3 days and extend by extra day during the last year before school. We also recommend consecutive days, as this allows the child to follow and not miss out on any continuous curriculum activities. For 2 day selection, we also prioritise parents selecting a Monday or a Friday for one of the days.

Q: How early should I place my child’s name on your waiting list?
A: Since we have no fee to list your child on our waiting list and no obligations` as early as you can, so we can prioritise your child on first come first served basis (After meeting Government Priority Guidelines).

Q: How early would I know if my child has a place offered to start?
A: For enrolment during the year, usually about 4 to 6 weeks before starting date depending on availability, we will contact you to find out if you still require the placement. Sometimes, due to demand, we might contact you 2 weeks before starting date for placement offer.

Q: For January enrolment, how early would I be notified if a place is offered?
A: We contact all our parents on our waiting list for January start, during the first two weeks of October and offer them placement. Parents then can secure the spot by paying our Holding Deposit (2 Weeks Gross Fees).

Q: Can I secure my child’s spot for January start before October?
A: Yes. Parents are welcome to secure their child’s place for January start any time of the year by paying our Holding Deposit.

Q: Is the Holding Deposit refundable?
A: No. It is only credited as part of your fee on start.

Q: How often do I have to pay my fee?
A: On the first day of the week of attendance, fee is charged on a weekly basis. Parent Account is always in credit for 4 weeks in advance. Parents also have the option to pay monthly instalments in advance.

Q: What payment options are available?
A: Most parents elect Direct Debit (EzyDebit). Other payment options available on request.

Q: Are there any additional costs? Like maintenance, working bee, craft material or incursions?
A: No. Our weekly fee is inclusive of all maintenance funds, working bee, craft materials or monthly incursions, so you will never receive any surprise bill.
